Well thankyou ESPiN

Check out this very interesting article about two darlings of college football in recent years.  This little tidbit should give you a nice backdrop:

In 2002, both were college freshmen in their home states: Vick at Virginia Tech, where he was expected to continue the legacy established by his famous brother, Michael; Clarett at Ohio State, where the Buckeyes soon would name him the first true OSU freshman to start at running back since 1943. No pressure there.

Also included is a slight ESPiN apology to OSU:

He was suspended by Ohio State for the 2003 season because he accepted extra benefits. Clarett promptly sued the NFL over its eligibility rule but eventually lost the case in a May 2004 ruling. He accused Ohio State of multiple NCAA violations (none were proved).

enjoy..

So this is an apology? ESPN was the ringleader when this story first broke out in 2003 and this is what we get, three words in parenthesis?

I love the fact that ESPN was doing this whole thing of pitting the 2005 USC Trojans against some of the greatest college football teams of all-time, yet they lose to Texas. In fact, while USC might have finished second in the polls, Ohio State is better.

amen brother..if they are gonna come out and take the side of these two idiots, I think ESPiN should write a nice apology to the university for what they started.  but like i wrote, this was a 'slight' apology and hopefully one day Buckeye Nation gets the article we so rightfully deserve.

Ohio State is the only team to have ever won 4 BCS Bowl Games.  Next highest is 3 and there are a couple of those including USC.  Also...of teams appearing in 3 or more BCS games, OHIO STATE is the only one that's undefeated.
