uhh...Crap

So Finley is going to the Spurs which is just what that team needed...

Now, the odds are doubtful we get Damon Jones unless he decides to play for the love of the game rather than cash..so yea he's gone as the Heat have all of their $5 million mid-level exception to use.  Basically, they can match or beat the Cavs offer..crap.

So it comes down to this..Eric Snow is our starting PG and we look to pick up Jannero Pargo, Steve Blake or Earl Watson as our backup, none of which were full-time starters in the NBA.

I would go after Blake or Watson.  I believe Blake is a good back-up and solid PG.  He will not score much, but he can lead a team.  He also shoots 3's and FT well.  His APG are above 2.4 and TO below 1.5.  Watson would be good as well.  He is more athletic than Blake, averages more APG (3.7), but is higher on TOs.  He scores more points too, but I do not think we need that so much.  Our second unit might need a better scorer, so Watson does make more sense.  Either way, I think we are OK (at best) for PG.  My concern is Andy.  He is not back in Cleveland yet and hasn't seen our doctors.  The specualtion is the injury is more than a bruise.  This is not good news.  I think we need to shift our energy to a big man now.  PG is important in the playoffs, but first we must get there.  Z won't make it all season by himself and Marshall was hired to shoot 3s, so we need a center badly.  Tractor sure looks good now.

Thought this was cool....

Magic numbers came out the other day and I found this great post on some random message board.  They guy has our magic numbers for every team in playoff contention and gave a little shout out to Major League.

He peels a section away from the Yankees/A's/etc. logos everytime that team loses or we win to reveal a picture underneath.  So I guess when two teams logos are cleared, we make the playoffs.

Don't worry about Damon Jones, sure he can hit a three once in awhile.  But there's no way he's worth five million.  Wait until next year until there's something worthwhile to add.  Or sign one of the backups you mentioned and wing it.  I'm not expecting this team to win the champsionship, so not every piece will be in place yet.  However, if they do miss the playoffs, again, there will be serious problems.
